[Side note: The whole kissing people on both cheeks upon making their acquaintance is a little unnerving. I like my personal bubble, and I’m not entirely comfortable with it being invaded by a total stranger. But alas, I guess it’s a cultural thing.]
Yesterday I tried to go back to the fruit stand I had found previously, but unfortunately it was no longer there. Maybe I went too late in the day -- unclear. Therefore, I had to wander around in a direction I hadn’t yet been in, until I came across another one. This time I bought apples, but I’m pretty disappointed that I still haven’t found a grocery store. As much as I like fruit, and as healthy as it is, I feel like I probably need a little more variety in my diet.
Anyway, so I finally found a room to rent. It’s a little smaller than my dorm at Trinity was, but it’s spacious enough. I have to share the bathroom with some guy, so I’m not leaving any of my stuff in the shower, but he’s moving out at the end of the month, so that’s good.
The owner of the apartment is this 60-year-old lady. She seems friendly enough, but kind of exigent as far as what she expects. Mostly it all has to do with cleaning, which will take some getting used to, because I’m not the tidiest person ever. Like, this morning making my bed was kind of weird, haha.
Alright, so here are some photos...
