Yesterday my Mom parked her laptop in front of the TV and I was able to watch some good ole American football. (I don't think we violated the NFL's express written consent clause because it wasn't for commercial use or distribution.) So yay for the Internet! I've also been able to keep up with other shows in English (Project Runway, ANTM, and other such quality programming) via YouTube and other online methods, so I am very grateful for la Red :D
