Spanish TV

So over the weekend I watched like 6 episodes of El Encatador de Perros (aka The Dog Whisperer in the U.S.) and I thought it was really interesting, mostly because I don’t have cable at home, so I had never watched the show before. Anyway, yesterday I came across Walker, Texas Ranger, but was only able to watch like 5 minutes of it -- I really can’t take Chuck Norris seriously, haha. And this morning while eating cereal, I watched Full House! Such a blast from the past! I found the pronunciation of DJ’s name especially hilarious for some reason. I can only conclude that Spaniards watch lots of American programming, which is cool. The dubbing can get a little annoying, but whatever.

As for commercials, they don’t seem very different, although apparently showing a close-up of a baby breastfeeding isn’t problematic. (Yes, I’m one of those prudes who think that should be done in private.)

But yeah, I’m excited to see what else I’ll discover!
