Today at work I had one-on-one time in the morning with fourth-graders to review action verbs with sentences like, "Jane is reading a book," or, "Kathy is swimming." I only had enough time to meet with about half a dozen students, but yet again I noticed that they either knew practically every verb or basically none of them at all. I feel like I should ask the bilingual coordinator at school if she has any idea why this is the case... Anyway, in the afternoon, with the second-graders we went over words related to Halloween, like witch and bat and whatnot. Overall, I'd say it was an okay way to start off the week :)
