So last Wednesday I went with LP into the city to have a late lunch and to see The Social Network. We ate at a restaurant called Chilango, which, obviously from the name, featured Mexican cuisine. I had vegetable enchiladas, and frankly, they weren't all that bad, although certainly not comparable to those my Mom makes. I also had a mojito, which was truly delicious -- probably the best I've ever tasted, but my sample size is small, so maybe that doesn't mean so much. Anyway, it was my first hot meal since I left the States (I've been subsisting mainly on cereal), so it was nice overall, albeit rather pricey. After leaving the establishment, we wandered around to kill time, including spending about an hour at H&M. I tried on some pleather pants just for fun, and they looked surprisingly good, but I didn't end up buying anything, because I'm a bit strapped for cash, and also because I really have all of the clothes I need (and pleather pants seemed especially impractical).
Once we got to the movie theatre (which, as a sidenote, assigns customers their seats), we were a bit disappointed to find that the film was dubbed. We were under the impression (from what was posted on their website) that it would be the original version. Alas, I didn't understand some parts, so when I arrived back in San Lorenzo, I had to watch it in English online. Still, it was a fun time, and yet another memorable Madrid experience! ^_^
