Today at work, I observed a second grade science class in the morning, where they were learning about the seasons and weather. I think that group of kids is my favorite, because they are so energetic and they say "hi" to me and are constantly calling my name. One child even said he was going to draw me a picture; I'm not going to hold my breath, but how cute would that be if he did? Haha, anyway, I think the best part of my day came at coffee break, where I had my first authentic Spanish tortilla. It was so delicious! The traditional main ingredients are egg and potato, and then the school's cook said she added rice, onions, and peppers. It was freshly made (from scratch -- no frozen and reheated food is served here) and absolutely fantastic, if I haven't made that clear.
In the afternoon, I reviewed the days of the week and months of the year with second graders, and then did some reading practice with third graders. And now, I'm off to the gym..! ^_^
