...I made flashcards in the morning of vocabulary from a short story the third graders are reading. Then, after coffee break, I was in a second grade English class. We went over basics like how to reply to the questions, “How are you?” and “How old are you?” It seems like the kids can’t tell difference, although I’m very careful about speaking slowly and enunciating every syllable of every word. Hopefully they’ll have it down by the time they have to take their end-of-the-year oral exam. Anyway, the last period of the day I was in a fourth grade class, which was slightly refreshing, as we were able to converse slightly more. I was amused when I asked them what kind of music they listened to, and there was a girl with Bieber fever, haha. Unfortunately, I’ll only see this group once a week, so I feel like it might be harder to develop a rapport with them. I guess we’ll see...
